Quarter 2, Week 4 –Unchanging Values in the VUCA World

 



In week 4, we tackle about Unchanging Values in the VUCA World. We characterize the different meanings and importance of Literature. Literature, in its broadest sense, is any composed work. Etymologically, the term determines from Latin litera/ littera "letter", in spite of the fact that a few definitions include spoken or sung texts. Literature is defined as books and other written works, especially those considered to have imaginative or creative justification or lasting value. Books written by Charles Dickens are an example of literature. Books written on a logical subject are examples of scientific literature. Literature is any collection of composed works, but it's moreover used more narrowly for writing specifically to be an art form, especially composition fiction, drama, and poetry. The meaning of VUCA is V for Volatility, U for Uncertainty, C for Complexity, and lastly A for Ambiguity. We also have Anglo-American Literature Icon.

Henry James was one of the most prolific writers of the 19th century. His most popular works included The Portrait of a Lady (1881), The Bostonians (1886), The Ambassadors (1903). Numerous of his tales, including "The Figure in the Carpet" (1896) and The Turn of the Screw, are still widely read. James published articles and books of criticism, travel, biography, autobiography, and plays. Born within the United States, James to a great extent relocated to Europe as a youthful man, and eventually settles in England, getting to be a British citizen in 1915 a year before his passing. 

James was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1911, 1912, and 1916. Henry James lived 72 years. And he was considered by numerous to be one of the greatest novelists in the English language. Henry James Sr. is the name of his father, whereas his siblings are William James who is a philosopher and psychologist and Alice James who is a diarist. Two of Henry James' famous works are "The Turn of the Group" and "The Representation of a Lady".

The activity we've done is a quiz about the topic. I learned that literary works are awesome offer assistance to develop and improve explanatory abilities. Analytical abilities like making connections, weighing evidence, questioning, taking note details and many more are the abilities that literary works can make us. I learned that literature itself had numerous distinctive definitions. Literature can be any collection of composed work, an art form, or whatever it is. Literature is classified according to whether it is poetry, prose, or drama, and such works are categorized according to historical periods, or their adherence to certain stylish features or genres. Literature is completely beneficial especially to us students. Learning literature can progress our communication abilities, progress vocabulary, writing, and talking abilities can engage, can be the source of historical views, can give an around the world view and endless more benefits of it. I don't find the topic hard. The highlight of the discussion is the Unchanging Values in the V.U.C.A. World.
